My brother is in later stages of early onset Parkinson's. He lives across the country from us. He has always been very independent and doesn't ask for help. However, things lately are very difficult for him and his family. His wife needs back surgery and is in a lot of pain. He has fallen twice over the last couple days, breaking a rib and hitting his head. He did have DBS several years ago and recently had a procedure to re-power up the batteries. Since we're so far away, I can't call myself a caregiver, but I want to do something for them that will make life a little easier. Does anyone have any suggestions of practical things that they might most need?
