The differentiation is based on the neurological examination and brain MRI.

I started the neuro patch today, kinda nervous too see what happens as I know it goes into the blood stream. The amantadine helps my fatigue, and midly helps my tightness and bradykinisia. Things are better but could be much more so. I will update how I do on this patch.

Wow its been awhile since I have posted. I have tried many medications and only amantadine and now Mirapex have done anything for me. The mirapex helps me sleep alot better. I can also type better. My concern is with my current neurologist's' both of whom have told me they think I have pd but are not sure because of me not responding to sinemet which I tried (again) for a month. Why would mirapex work and not sinemet? They couldnt answer that question. Im thinking of maybe seeing a new mds but Im not sure who to look for, possibly someone with more experience with younger people. Any advice is appreciated!

I am not sure exactly what the issue is in your case.  I think getting a second opinion is great idea.  Maybe also a DAT scan?

Thank you doctor I think that is a good idea as well. I got a phone call today from my regular doctor saying she needs to go over some notes that my nuero sent her. One of the notes was her concern over my loss of weight. I have lost 30 pounds without trying. I eat.....a lot!!! Is weight loss common in PD?

Weight loss can and does occur in PD but is usually slower than suddenly losing 30 lbs.
