Evaluating research of potentially disease modifying agents

One agent that recently caught my attention was GM1 ganglioside. I find some references to positive test results going back as far as 1995 with this agent. There is also a 2002 study that finds increasing anti-GM1 antibodies in patients with tremor-dominant PD. I have this form of the disease, so this agent may be of particular interest to me.

For published literature look at pubmed.org and type the search term for your compound of interest.
For abstracts published and presented at meetings it is best to use google or a search engine.
For compounds in trial try clinical trials.gov
