I have had plantar Facitis and have inserts for my feet. I now have painful toes, mostly on my left foot. It bothers me most after working all day, but these same toes get stiff and painful while sleeping as well. Is this most likely related to my Parkinsons or ? I am 51 years old and have had parkinsons for about 6 years. I take Mirapex, Levo and Azilect.
Thank you

Could be both PD and also just be related to your feet. We optimize PD meds. Then we get the exercises from the PT to stretch those feet and also the achilles tendons every day. We use inserts in the shoes for fasciitis and we also will often times try a few different shoes. Stretching, medication optimization and the right shoes eventually resolve the issue but it can in some cases take months. Some docs allow their patients to also take drugs like ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation.
