Good Day Doctor Okun,

What advice would you give a patient who has had a PD diagnosis for 12 years and is now
having problems with Sinemet no longer working and/or bringing on a slew of new and sometimes serious side effects.

The problem is perplexing!

Can Sinemet be removed completly and something else added in its place that works the same way.

I know..... here I go again....dreaming that there is something else out there!!

Thank you for your help.
Michelle

See someone experienced with PD and address the issues one by one. Often the sinemet is working and just needs dose and also interval adjustment. Additionally treat depression, anxiety and non-motor symptoms aggressively. SOmetimes sinemet falls short on walking, talking and thinking symptoms.
