I was diagnosed with RP 18 mos ago. I am on Amantadine and Azilect. Over the past 3 months, I have had increasing pain on my affected side from my neck through my shoulder and into my bicep muscle. It is getting worse with time. Is this likely a PD symptom? I am a 62 yr old female, an MRI of the cervical spine was negative for nerve related pain. Thanks for your thoughts.

This is likely PD and your medication regimen consists of two very very weak symptomatic drugs. We suggest trying a dopamine agonist and/or sinemet and this usually will alleviate the pain if PD related. Remember with the agonist to be vigilant for compulsive/obsessive behavior.
