Has anyone had an internal tremor as their first symptom?

If so, how long did it take for another symptom to add on or for the internal tremor to increase?

It has been 4 long years for me, internal tremor in right leg at rest.
No change in four years.

Dr. can't see it, so no dx.
He said if PD it should have progressed by now.

I am not convinced, as I know everyone progresses at a different rate.

Going through a very anxious time right now.

Any words about your own experience with internal tremor would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

I had internal tremor as a first symptom . It was a long time ago but it seems I develop the tremor in less than a week. It might have developed in a day or two. I had been entirely right sided for seven years. My neuro said mine was some kind of variant because it should have moved to the left side by then. I was diagnosed in 2006. Lately I've been having my left hand jerk once in a while. So after seven years the left side decided to join in. We moved a year ago and it would have been nice if it would have shone this while at the previous doc. I prefer not be remembered as a variant.

Tired - Thank you for the article, very interesting.

MarciaJ - Just want to make sure I understand, do you mean your visable tremor came out in less than a week?

Also, how long did it take for more symptoms to appear?

Thanks again.

Well, just remember when you take a trip in the way-back machine your memories could be altered. That is why it's a good idea to write things down.

1) July 2006 . Internal tremor.
2) This is how I remember it, but it seemed to be visible shortly after.
3). October 2006 also had toe curl appear.

I couldn't find anything in my records to back up when the tremors became visible. But it sounds like you are on a different track than me anyway.

It seems to have PD proceed slowly is a good thing. It took five years for me to not be able to function. I went on meds then.

PD is not for sissys.
