Hi Friends,
When you experience a complete wear-off that produce sever tremors, what do you do or take while waiting for meds to kick in?

On occasion I have waited 2.5- 3 hours for meds to kick in. Too long to endure....
I just started trying the liquid carb/levo dissolving in Vit C. It did seems to act quicker, but this isn't always an option for me.

Any solutions that work for you? I know we are all different, but still would like to know what works for some.

Thanks, I'm soooo ready for spring....

Requip seems to help me a bit with off times.

But, there are some days that I can barely move regardless of medication.

My father's neurologist suggested that, when the meds aren't working, he can take 1/8-1-4 of a Dopicar. Duh just realized that that is Carbi/levo.

I recently tried some guided imagery with him and it did provide some temporary relief. I had him lye back with his eyes closed an pretend that he was lying on a sunny beach, hearing the waves crash on shore (we were in the noisy fluorescent ER) and I had him take slow deep breaths. I think that this shows promise and want to try it out some more.

My tremor is in my legs and I cannot sit or lye down when I am symptomatic. I have to keep weight on my feet and walk until tremors subside.
I have tried yoga style breathing and have had limited success if I can catch it prior to a complete wear -off.

What a rainy night I think I have this. Try exercise before or after taking sine met, at night or day.5 to twenty minutes. 5, 10 20 push ups off bed or door jam., 50 t0 100 step ups on step stool, leg stretches,

I swear by a diet coke. I know. I know. But I BELIEVE it makes the sinemet work faster.
