Old + Slow- your posts make me laugh everytime I read them in this thread- thank you for the humor. I think humor is one of God's greatest gifts. If the platypus is not proof of a divine sense of humor, there is always Canada (Just kiddin JB!)

I used to be an extreme adventure racer and team names were sometimes very funny like The Donner Party, Team Sweaty Bettys ( that was one of my teams) and it got me thinking about great names for team competing to raise research $- time to be creative if not funny- I'll start us off........

Team......

The Young and the Restless

THe Old and the Doody-ful

Livin La Leva Dopa

Got Dopamine?

Where's the Dopamine?

Good Vibrations

If you don't like my driving stay the heck off the sidewalk ( a sticker on my friend's wheelchair)

Shake, rattle  and roll

Let's see what you got :)

Hey-you think Ben and Jerry's can make dopamine ice cream?

Ok Anni, I'll bite........

How about:

The Ridged and Fridged...... (for the Ididarod)

The un-balanced

Running on empty

How about I make a cardboard sign, that says..... "Support my drug habit..... Donate $$ for Dopamine"...... or, "will work for Dopamine" or maybe.... "Dopamine, my drug of choice.. please donate".... and stand on the street corner.

Wait a freaking minute, THOSE would make excellent T-shirts........... ok the above phrases about dopamine, are now copywrited by me.......LMAO

ok, back to our regularly scheduled topic......

you might have Parkinson's if:

You can't make it across the street before the light changes......

you organize your meds by the hour not the day.....

you prefer to drink from a sippy cup....

if you tell people that Velcro is much more fashionable than shoelaces........

and of course here's one that happened to me yesterday when I got home from the airport.......

when the 97 year old lady next door, asks if I need help walking from the car to the house............... and then stops by today, to ask if I'm doing ok........... sigh

you might have Parkinson's if.........

when trying to send Morse Code, your tremors only let you send gibberish........

after spilling your pills..... picking them back up becomes an all day project......

AND, you might actually feel it's ok to have PD when........

after 2hrs stuck in a window seat on a 737 not being able to move......it's your turn to get up and exit the plane...... your PD symptoms are flaring big time.... and you're shaking is registering 7.5 on the Richter scale, you're stiff as a board, and you're moving soooo slooow...... and there's probably 50-60 people behind you in line as you shuffle off the plane and up the jet way to the terminal............................

NO ONE tries to crowd you or push past you on the jet way...... EVERYONE patiently lets you slowly shuffle your way up and into the terminal........and wishes you well as they file past you in the terminal after you are finally able to clear the ramp and move out of the way..............ONLY in Seattle.........

Team names:

Wobble Walkers

Walkie Talkies ( of course, I wd be the captain..haha)

You might have Parkinson's

If you trip and fall...and know it is not an accident...it is LIFE.

If you get a blank stare when you try to excuse yourself by explaining you are short on spoons.

If your best friends are worse off than you...but you want to be just like them when you grow up!

Have a better day today than yesterday....:)

You might have parkinson's (with Dyskinesia) if:

you cut across the dance floor to get a drink, only to fine that you've just won the dance contest........that you never entered......

TPD= the parkie dance

Come on everybody.... do the parkie hustle.......  The latest dance craze....... We just stand on the floor, and let our bodies move............  So come on folks.....get out there and SHAKE it............ let those Dyskinesia's flow...........
