Dear Kathryn,

Have you heard of this remedy? Any drawbacks to taking 2-3 teaspons of vinegar every day? Much less expensive and we don't have to worry about a proton pump inhibitor making our bones more fragile. THe ear pain is referred ear pain from GERD. Thanks.

Dear Friend,
Yes indeed -- strange as it seems, in some individuals, GERD can be due to insufficient stomach acid, and taking apple cider vinegar can help. I'd certainly give it a trial, and I recommend use of an organic cider vinegar such as Bragg's, if available. Let us know how you're doing with it.
Best regards,

Kathrynne Holden, MS
