One of my Doctors thinks there may be a connection between exposure to Lyme disease and Parkinson's. In fact he believes Lyme disease can be misdiagnosed as Parkinson's The other said the tests for Lyme disease are very inaccurate and no studies have linked Lyme to Parkinson's. Do you have an opinion/information on this?

Lyme disease is a great mimicker and it can look like anything. Acutely in rare cases it may look like PD, but I suspect if the cases are followed forward most will be diagnosed as regular PD and not Lyme. There are tests for lyme if you are worried about Lyme disease. Good luck.
