Going from Mirapex to Neupro Patch

I had my 2nd visit with my MDS last week. He adjusted the time of day I take my Sinemet as well as decreased my Mirapex (from 3 to 2). Well that helped for a few days then I began having increased pain and stiffness...I believe because of the decreased Mirapex. MDS is now having me try the Neupro Patch 2mg, 4mg,..... I have seen where a few people had issues with skin or nausea problems so they stopped using it. Does anyone currently use the patch? Does it work for you?
  2. Desire your opinion: Pt. dx 2003, no tremor. now advanced. current meds: Sinemet 25/250 5xday, 50/200 one at bedtime, requip 8 xl one at bedtime, neudexta 20/10 2xday. metformin 500mg 3xday. This week have changed to Neupro Patch 8mg (used in 2008) to replace the Requip 8xl night, dropped the 50/200, continuing the 25/250 5x day. So far ok but Neupro making sleepy in day but getting much better sleep last 3 nights previous was random with otc sleep aid or melatonin. Would like to drop all caridopa and use only levadopa and 5htp with it (alternative Dr. Recommended but neurologist has not confirmed his ok) Will also be using nebulizer for glutathione and B6 vitamin. Have slowness (Bradyknesis) stiffness, some dyknesis, constipation chronic. 5ft8in 150 lb. good heart rate and blood pressure Exercises and works field and ranch and investments. age 73. Big question is 5Htp and levadopa----if it will control his symptoms????what to expect?
