Another picture from the cruise. This was "Dress in your favorite decade" night, and I was an 80's California surfer dude (in the blond wig and Hawaiian shirt). Wife was a hippy, and my daughter (above my wife) was a flapper with a fancy cigarette holder. We had a blast on that trip. Proof that you can have PD and still have fun!

Hi all;

I am still fairly new on this forum but feeling very much at home.  Because of my longstanding interest in photography, I wondered if some of the group was also photographically inclined, so I did a search and came up with this thread.  We have some very good photographers here!   And Michael .......  4x5 Crown Graphic!!??  Yowser!  That is some serious photo gear.   I loved your shot with the old trucks in the snow.  I can imagine all sorts of interesting shots around them.

I started into photography seriously in the late 70's and still make pictures several days a week.  I would be interested in anyone's comments if you use Flickr - on there I am arnieb901 - and would love to see your work also.  I had not used Photobucket, so I plan to start an account and possibly post a photo or two here.  It looks like a good system for sharing photos here.

I was wondering what restrictions anyone has in your technique, gear, preferred places for pics, etc. due to Parkinson's and how you have compensated?  So far, I am virtually unrestricted but am more aware, and I know my tripod will become my best friend photographically.  I enjoy most types of photography but do mostly landscapes, and I enjoy travel, so I plan much of my trips around photo opportunities.  This year we had a week in southern England and another week in the Netherlands for our anniversary, and then spent a week roaming around Colorado in late September.

Arnie

Arnie... welcome to out group. If you already have a Flickr account, don't worry about a photobucket, as you can post images here directly from your Flickr acct. I only use the 4X5 & 2X3 Crowns out in the field. when I set the studio up here, I prefer to use my 4X5 Graphic view (on a Ries A100-2 tripod)...... although I do take it out in the field when I'm shooting anything architectural so my lines are straight.

Just went to my college buddies reunion at a friends house. These people hadn't seen me in 5 years. No one noticed any PD symptoms. (that's me with the black guitar in the middle)

A picture of me and some of my college friends at a reunion this past weekend (I'm on the right with my foot up on the bench). We are looking good for being over age 60!!!
