Post of the Week: Impulse Control Disorders Can be Induced by Rasagiline and Other MAO-B's

Recommended Posts

Dear forum members,

It has been previously reported that impulse control disorders (binge eating, shopping, gambling, hypersexuality, etc.) can be induced by Selegiline; this recent report suggests rasagiline (in the same class of drugs) can also push people toward ICD. Though rare practitioners and patients should be aware.

Impulse control disorders induced by rasagiline as adjunctive therapy for Parkinson's disease: Report of 2 cases.
