muscle strength and exhaustion

Recommended Posts

I was diagnosed with PD in 2005 I think. I work at a fairly physical job as an small aircraft mechanic. Within the last few month it seems like my ability to do my job has degraded. Screw and bolts that I used to be able to loosen easily have become impossible sometimes, and after I have exerted myself trying to do this I am so exhausted I can not go on at all. I am totally wiped out with no reserves at all. I end up having to go quit for the day. Is this part of PD or have I just become lazy?

This is a very common scenario. Most people diagnosed with PD have to cut down hours and move to less stressful jobs, and in the majority of cases retire or go on disability (by 5 years plus of disease).
