My problem, Dr Hinz, is that you are spamming the message boards. That’s not cool and it’s what scam artists and quacks typically do. Saying that Other companies also have FDA complaints  so why bring up his past is not a defense for a bad actor trying to get new clients for what looks like a shady business.

But if that’s not the case, if he’s now legit, then Why doesn’t Hinz just advertise or better yet, why don’t people who think his services are legit speak up and tell us how great they’re doing.

Folks are free to seek treatment in any way they like, and no one is saying that alternative meds and therapies are not beneficial. Just consider the source is all I’m saying.

Thanks for saying that.  I sent a similar opinion privately to the moderators.

It would appear that the spamming posts, at least in this thread, have been removed.  Thank you, moderators!

Hi Hercules, would you say it is the Dr Hinz therapy that helps in preventing dyskinesia or the Mucuna puriens, which you are taking?

Superdecooper.

Dr Hinz's patients should be more vocal about the benefits of the therapy. I support your views.

Hinz Protocol has been debated for sometime.

There is a guy on YouTube who claims as long as you take his $1000/month supplements you will get better. In small words are to be effective you must

exercise, diet (eat sensible), and (try to) get a good nights sleep. Irony is exercise, diet, and sleep are always a good thing.

Any of use with Parkinson's and stomach/colon issues are all to aware of medical absorption, diet, and wellness issues. So makes sense to use caution,

but saying death has increased by 300% is odd sinc 1976 as Parkinson's wasn't well understood for so many years. Forty years ago you didn't see Parkinson's

listed as a cause of death, but pneumonia.   Yet, aspiration pneumonia is the leading cause of death for PwP (Person with Parkinsons), so a coroner may list Parkinson's as an underlying cause, but not the main cause of death. Hence the odd statistics.

For those in Minnesota, who have very large trust funds, it would be great to hear their experience with the protocol.   Meanwhile for the rest of us, good exercise

and good eating will make a huge difference.  I just don't see having to spend $1000/month for the supplements.

Is the $1000mo on youtube the Mars Venus Guy? I have researched his program and you can actually buy most of those supplements from Amazon or a 3rd party. He does have a couple of custom blends that could easily be replaced with something else. Does seem like a modified Dr Hinz program with extra support vitamins on top. Definitely a few hundred bucks a month even if you source everything from cheaper sources...

A few months ago, I had to increase the Mucuna because of PD progression. I had been on Mucuna for 2 yrs. With the increase I had better symptoms control but some dyskinesia started. I was informed that no dyskinesia comes with Mucuna, well it is not the case. It is called levodopa indeed dyskinesia for a reason.  I was also getting side effects on Mucuna, mainly bloating, palpitations, some nausea. I thought that my urinary urgency was PD but it was a side effect of Mucuna. I am back on Sinemet and Selegiline and I have some dyskinesia, more than on Mununa but I don't have the Mucuna side effects. The Hinz protocol was good while it lasted. BTW I am using sinemet 10/100 as opposed to the 25/100 because I still believe that Carbidopa induces more dyskinesia, so the 10/100 has less carbidopa. Symptoms are well controlled and a little dyskinesia in the form of squirming is not bad.

I might suggest at least trying 25/100.  See how you do.  If you can reduce the dose from, day 2 tabs to 1.5 or something that might do more to reduce dyskinesia than you think.  Or not.  But if you don't try you won't know for sure.
