Parcopa getting washed out along with stool

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I take Parcopa 25/100 every 2 hours and recently I feel like every single time I go to the bathroom, the medication gets completely out of my body along with the stool(whether it has been half an hour, 1 hour, or longer passed my last dosage.

I get so completely stiff that I have to take another Parcopa and wait for at least 1 hour before my body gets back to its normal self. I also have to mention that do not have Diarrhea. Any idea?!

I doubt it is washed out in the stool but you may have absorption problems and in these cases sometimes DBS or Duopa pumps help.  But before that see your doc and look at adjustments in your med dosages and also in timing.  Good luck.  Remember also some PD patients have H Pylori and other GI issues that need to be addressed to help absorption of meds.  Seeing a GI doc can be helpful and a gastric emptying study may be indicated in some cases.
