Mirapex & Neupro Comparison

2 posts in this topic

Hi, I was taking 2.5 mg of Mirapex per day and switched to the 4 mg neupro patch 2 weeks ago. I'm finding that it does keep me running a little smoother than the Mirapex. My question is, am I taking more or less medication now (i.e., what is the equivalent amount of Mirapex that would give me a similar reaction to a 4mg Neupro patch.)

I am surprised that you are having the equivalent or better effect with the neupro patch.

The usual equivalent dose of 6 mg of neupro is about 9-12 mg of roprinirole (requip) which will probably between 1.5-2 mg or mirapex per day.

But each person is different....so enjoy! If the effect wears off, don;t hesitate to go up to the 6 mg patch...

Yours,
