How do I Post a Question in a Forum?
Welcome to the Parkinson's Foundation Discussion Forums!

You do not need to create a user account to just browse all of the Forums.

If you would like to create a new topic or reply to an existing post you must first create a user account,
and be logged in with that same account.

This account is separate from any other account you may have with the Parkinson's Foundation

Login to the Forum as previously shown.

The Forum itself is divided into three distinct areas: Forum Information, Medical Questions, Unmoderated Discussion.
Each of these areas have their own individual Forums. The process of posting a new topic/question/post in each of these Forums is identical.

All of the Forums listed under Medical Questions are moderated. These are the only moderated Forums.
After a new post or reply is made, it will not become visible to everyone until it is approved by one of the Moderators.
At that time he/she will post a reply, if needed.

These instructions will continue with posting a question in the “Ask the Doctor” forum.

Under “Medical Questions” locate the
“Ask The Doctor Forum”

Click on the forum name “Ask The Doctor”. You are now inside the “Ask The Doctor” forum.
All of the posts are arranged by date, with the most recent at the top.

Click the “Start New Topic” button located on the right side of the screen.

Enter a Topic Title. Then enter the text of your question inside the large white box.
You may also use the optional icons on this page to format the text of your question.
You may also click the slide rule at the bottom of the post to notify you of replies to your post.
When you are done, click the Submit Topic button at the bottom of the screen.

NOTE: When you are posting a question in any of the moderated forums listed under the category “Medical Questions”
your question needs to be approved by one of the moderators before it becomes visible on the Forum.
