Constant Voltage vs . Constant Current

Recommended Posts

We don't actually know the answer to this question in clinical practice.  The constant current may in some devices cost more battery life.  The constant current settings may be helpful for more consistent delivery of current and may be better for patients requiring high amounts of current (electricity).  As a device nears end of life constant current may be better.  So far most of our patients seem to be doing well on constant current or constant voltage but we imagine eventually all devices will be constant current.
